SmartDrone is hiring a FULL-TIME Accounting / Human Resource Assistant, our company is a leader in drone surveying innovation and technology, with U.S. manufactured aerial LiDAR hardware and software to collect and process data.  Land surveyors, civil engineers, and earth workers trust SmartDrone solutions to improve efficiency and speed to completion, delivering increased capacity, margins, and profits.

We are looking for a full-time qualified and resourceful Accounting / Human Resource Assistant to support our administrative office in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations.   This is NOT a remote position.  This position will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities.  You will be expected to assist in the planning and administration of important functions, such as accounts payable and receivable processing, payroll, tracking sales, recruitment, on-boarding and maintaining benefits packages. Our ideal candidate holds business degree or has over 2 years’ experience and is familiar with accounting software packages, like Quickbooks. Ultimately, the Accounting / Human Resource Assistant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process through the entering of any required data so that accurate records are maintained
  • Processing of credit cards
  • Process accounts payable/receivable
  • Process payroll in a timely manner
  • Assist with pre-employment processes
  • Perform new employee on-boarding
  • Asist with the administration of company benefits
  • Assist with the ensurance of State, Federal and company regulations and policies
  • Continually improve efficiency of department

Skills

  • Proven bookkeeping and human resources experience
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Strong accurate data entry skills with an emphasis on high accuracy and attention to details
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Proven experience working in an HR department
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong ethics Continually improve efficiency of department
  • Strong service philosophy

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Hiring and on-boarding experience
  • Knowledge of HR federal and state laws
